The City of Thomasville is Hiring a Talent Development Manager Near Thomasville, GA

This position provides direction, and coordination in the planning, assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training and employee development methodologies for professional growth and development approved programs and activities. Designs, facilitates, coaches and performs training needs assessments. Assists in the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures relating to employee training and development. Trains employees in established and/or modified organizational practices and procedures.
Position receives direct supervision from the Exe. Director of Human Resources and is expected to work independently.
Oversees the professional development and training program. Evaluates each department?s training needs. Partners with department administration and employees to identify organizational and development needs and works collaboratively to develop strategies and tactics designed to meet targeted needs; facilitates and/or delivers tailored programs appropriate for this organization.
Develops and implements employee training curriculum and sessions based on needs assessment and certification requirements. Markets and promotes training opportunities for employees.
Provides training utilizing web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, in person training, etc.; monitors, tracks, and assesses training programs.
Provides training during the new hire onboarding process.
Oversees, implements and coordinates mentoring programs for departments.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent development.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Performs other related duties as required.
