Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent teamwork skills and have a solid understanding of grounds maintenance practices, including mowing, hedge trimming, fertilizing, and minor sprinkler system repairs. This role involves both supervisory responsibilities and hands-on groundskeeping tasks. Responsibilities
Supervise a team of 10 to 12 landscapers in daily grounds maintenance activities.
Coordinate and assign tasks such as mowing, hedge trimming, tree trimming, and trash cleanup.
Perform manual labor alongside the team, including mowing, deadheading geraniums, and miscellaneous sprinkler repairs.
Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed by the landscaping team.
Assist in training new team members on proper groundskeeping techniques and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with the Landscaping Manager to prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in grounds maintenance and landscaping, with a demonstrated ability to operate groundskeeping equipment.
Moderate to decent knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, including mowing, hedge trimming, fertilizing, and minor sprinkler system repairs.
Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality groundskeeping services.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in landscaping or grounds maintenance is a plus.

Full-Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
Variable-hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30 hours per week throughout their first year.

Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
50% match up to a 4% contribution from the team member.
Pto
6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
5 years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)
Holiday Pay
Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
