The Colt Group is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Pasadena, TX
Job OverviewThe Billing Specialist will work as part of the accounting team to processing customer invoices for multiple divisions across the Colt footprint. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with internal partners.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Process customer invoicing; distribute invoices and supporting documentation to customers in a timely manner
- Analyze billing support for accuracy and completeness, obtain missing or correct data as necessary
- Ensure proper sales tax treatment on each invoice
- Communicate with customers regarding billing matters and provide timely and accurate responses
- Collaborate with customer to ensure accuracy of customer mast file information
- Participate in collection efforts
- File multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Cross-train in other accounting functions such as collections and payment applications.
- Other duties as assigned by the financial controller
- 2 years of billing, preferably in an industrial services environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- An urgency for deadlines and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Familiar with customer billing portals such as Track, Ariba, GEP, & SES
- Intermediate level or higher MS Excel skills
- NetSuite or other ERP experience a plus
