TCG manages 11 Community Kids Place (CKP) Out-of-School Time (OST) initiatives across Lawrence and Methuen cities. Collaborating with school districts and individual schools, TCG facilitates enriching experiences for over 400 students. These experiences include high-quality programming, field trips, interactions with community non-profit partners, and extended time with school-day teachers. Operating throughout the school year and spanning several weeks in the summer, TCG's Community Kids Place Program (CKP) aims to assist schools in achieving learning outcomes and molding students into global citizens with contemporary skills.
Aligned with the DESE 21st Century Community Learning Centers model, the programs prioritize enhancing academic and social-emotional outcomes through hands-on, cumulative project-based learning. Furthermore, the programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care to uphold the highest standards of safety and environmental quality.
As an Out-of-School Time (OST) Educator/Group Leader at CKP, you have the opportunity to acquire valuable experience in a dynamic and enriching setting. This part-time role, scheduled from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, is well-suited for individuals seeking to enhance their skills in classroom management, youth development, or mentoring. The ideal candidate will share a commitment to TCG's mission and will effectively serve as a leader and mentor to young students.
Educator/Group Leaders are required to be available for work during regularly scheduled school vacations and throughout the summer.
