Position Overview:
The Diesel/CNG Maintenance Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of one of the company's maintenance facilities, which maintain our fleet of 1,000 trucks. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring maintenance work on Diesel/CNG trucks and heavy equipment, minimizing equipment downtime and repair costs, and ensuring safe facility operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor maintenance work assignments to ensure maintenance and repairs minimize downtime and expense.
- Maintain parts inventories to expedite vehicle service and reduce overhead expense.
- Ensure all maintenance policies and records are accurate and compliant with all regulations.
- Mentor and develop maintenance team members to promote professional growth.
- Maintain a safe and orderly shop environment.
- Manage administrative matters including schedules, performance management, and absence requests.
- 5 years' experience managing a maintenance facility for a fleet of 100 trucks and 20 maintenance team members.
- Thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
- Advance knowledge of Diesel/ CNG equipment drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in managing maintenance shop budgets.
