Position: Program Manager 1
Program: Roger Sherman House
Location: New Haven
Salary: $65,000/year
Schedule: Full time; 40 hours; Monday-Friday; 1st shift (8-4p/ 9-5p) with flexibility to meet program needs
Program SummaryThe Roger Sherman House is a residential work release program that provides adult males under the supervision of DOC with case management services, job preparation opportunities, and linkages to community based treatment. This allows them to successfully re-enter their communities.
Position SummaryThe Program Manager 1 will ensure that all matters involving program functioning will run efficiently and effectively. The Program Manager will manage and report on the day-to-day operations of the program including but not limited to; staff scheduling, supervision & training needs, risk management, program development and contract compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a residential program, have strong leadership and supervisory skills, be able to respond to the needs of a fast paced environment and demonstrate an ability to clearly and professionally communicate with internal staff and external stakeholders while upholding best practice standards. This position has on-call responsibilities.
Working within Adult Services, the Program Manager 1 within the Women’s Work Release program works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree and 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years related experience
  • Master's Degree and 3 years related experience
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
OrientationIf selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
