Hadar High School for Girls is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time History Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching either or both of the following courses: AP US History and World History (9th Grade). We will consider applicants who can teach both courses as well as those who can only teach one, although teaching both is preferable.

Responsibilities:

• Teach AP US History and World History (9th Grade): Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the curriculum for AP US History and 9th-grade World History.
• Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and a love for history.
• Curriculum Development: Design and implement effective lesson plans, activities, and assessments that meet the educational needs of students while aligning with school standards.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess student progress through various methods such as exams, projects, and class participation, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members to enhance the overall academic experience and contribute to the school's educational goals.
• Parent Communication: Engage in effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and reports on students' academic performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience teaching high school history courses, particularly AP US History and World History.
• Familiarity with the AP US History curriculum and a passion for making history engaging and relevant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to address the diverse needs of students.

Competitive compensation is provided based on the number of classes taught.
