Are you ready to take your HVAC career to the next level? As Assistant Service Manager at Cooper Mechanical Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our service department operations. You'll assist in managing day-to-day service activities, ensuring top-notch customer satisfaction, and facilitating smooth coordination between our service technicians and clients.
Who we are:
Cooper Mechanical Solutions is a privately held organization located in Willow Grove, PA with over 90 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry. The Company specializes in mechanical trades including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection with two primary divisions: Cooper Mechanical Construction and Cooper Mechanical Services. Cooper Mechanical Construction focuses on new construction and renovations in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets, while Cooper Mechanical Services focuses on service and new installation for residential and commercial applications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating service calls.
  • Support service technicians in troubleshooting HVAC systems, diagnosing issues, and providing technical guidance when needed.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including work orders, service agreements, and customer communications.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop and implement service improvement initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring timely resolution of service issues.
  • Assist in training and mentoring service technicians to enhance their technical skills and customer service abilities.
  • Monitor inventory levels of service parts and equipment, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in HVAC or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service or maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide service technicians.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and HVAC service software.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • HVAC certification or licensure preferred.

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30 with 1 hour lunch break
