Who we are:
Cooper Mechanical Solutions is a privately held organization located in Willow Grove, PA with over 90 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry. The Company specializes in mechanical trades including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection with two primary divisions: Cooper Mechanical Construction and Cooper Mechanical Services. Cooper Mechanical Construction focuses on new construction and renovations in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets, while Cooper Mechanical Services focuses on service and new installation for residential and commercial applications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform takeoffs for plumbing projects to provide accurate estimates for bidding purposes.
• Manage all phases of plumbing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Interact with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, allocating resources as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Approve project expenses and monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budget.
• Oversee construction plumbing staff, including project managers, estimators, superintendents, and field staff, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality control.
• Utilize Trimble AutoBid software for estimating and project management tasks.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Experience estimating and managing projects in commercial, industrial, public works projects with scope of $250k and up.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale public works plan and spec take-off, plumbing estimating and project management.
• Working out of the office, reading blueprints, take-offs, preparing estimates and project estimations.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Excellent written and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to create accurate budgets and timelines.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Able to handle projects from start to finish (schools, public works, buildings, cicil, federal and state)
• Experience with Trimble AutoBid (formerly QuickPen) software is highly desirable.
• A Master Plumber License is plus, but not required.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday 8:0 - 5:00 with 1 hour lunch break

Work Location:

• In person
• Willow Grove, PA 19090: Relocate before starting work (Required)
