Full Job Description
Overberg Construction, Inc., a premier commercial contractor in the Greater Cincinnati Area, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role is essential for maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and reliability in the commercial construction industry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure all project components are executed efficiently and effectively.
    • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan and to address any issues that may arise.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and subcontractors, maintaining strong, positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or changes in scope.
    • Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, budget forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Quality Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure all construction activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and Overberg Construction's quality guidelines.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
    • Address any quality or safety issues promptly to maintain project integrity and safety on-site.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures as needed to ensure projects remain within budget.
    • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
    • Manage project resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Work Environment:
  • The work environment may expose the employee to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
