Full Job Description
J. Russell is seeking an experienced Project Manager II who will be located in Russell's Atlanta office and will support the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Centralized Project Management Office (CMPO). In this position, you will be responsible for managing the project team, project stakeholders, consultants, and contractors as necessary to support MARTA's pursuit of rehabilitating, enhancing, and expanding its $6B Capital Improvement Program. As Project Manager II, you will oversee complex projects from inception to completion. This position requires a seasoned professional who can manage large-scale projects, lead teams, and ensure that all project milestones are met within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Financial Oversight : Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure the project remains within financial constraints.
  • Team Leadership: Lead project teams by providing direction and support. Resolve conflicts and identify resources needed.
  • Communication: Serve as the point of contact for teams and external clients. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.
  • Quality Control: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Required Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, with proven leadership in managing sizable, complex projects.
  • Experience managing various project delivery methods: design-bid-build, design-build, construction management at risk, and progressive design-build,
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
Additional Desired Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Business Administration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
