The Lead Purchasing Agent for the Stock Team oversees the procurement and inventory management processes for various items, including metal frames, doors, hardware, and expenses. This role ensures cost-effective procurement, optimal inventory levels, and efficient management of the stock team. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Minimum Qualifications• High School Diploma Required• 5 - 10 years in an operational staff position required • Must have extensive door and hardware application knowledge.• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.• Experience with Mfg Online ordering systems (Orderpro, VT Online, Eggers Online, DoorBuilder, COW/EDGE, OEW).• Ability to fill out machining sheets and understand Mfg-specific preps.• Familiarity with industry-specific ERP software.• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and team management skills.• Strong technical knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management. Essential Functions• Lead and manage the Stock Team in the procurement process for Hollow Metal and Wood Doors, stock hardware, and other inventory items.• Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the Stock Team.• Supervise purchasing of expense items, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with budgetary constraints.• Monitor manufacturing and supplier lead times to identify and mitigate potential purchasing conflicts.• Review and analyze vendor quotes, project specifications, and sales/project management input.• Seek alternative sourcing opportunities for cost savings, improved lead times, and quality enhancements.• Create and manage Purchase Orders using the ERP system, online platforms, and machining sheets.• Review and verify acknowledgment details, including costs and expected delivery dates.• Record order acknowledgments, adjusted costs, delivery dates, and order numbers in the ERP System.• Respond promptly to inquiries from manufacturers and suppliers.• Ensure strategic vendor support and alignment for all purchased products.• Train, mentor, and manage the Stock Team.• Ensure accurate and timely reporting, analytics, and KPI metrics for procurement activities. • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all procurement and inventory management systems.• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally.
