The Crow-Downtown LaCrosse is Hiring a Front of House Manager Near La Crosse, WI

About The Crow:

The Crow is an American bourbon bar.

Located in the heart of downtown La Crosse, The Crow features over a dozen different specialty and gourmet burgers that are made fresh to order along with the area's largest bourbon selection and specialty bourbon cocktails. We also have a large and rotating craft beer selection with some of Wisconsin's finest.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Front of House Manager to lead in several aspects of our business. You will deliver a high-quality guest experience by motivating our staff to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating with and organizing large party reservations. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. You will work to hire qualified additions to our service team, set work schedules, and oversee the front of house restaurant operations.

To be successful in this role, it is expected that you lead by example through having a good attitude and communication abilities in order to uplift staff during the busy times in our fast-paced downtown environment. As a whole, you will work to ensure our restaurant runs as smoothly as possible so our guests enjoy their experience with us.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate training of all new front of house staff members.
  • Organize, schedule and supervise front of house shifts.
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant operations.
  • Deliver superior service to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback on ways to improve.
  • Ensure full compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Create weekly reports on revenue, labor costs, and topics for discussion during leadership meetings.
  • Hire new front of house employees.
  • Coordinating all front of house employee schedules (hosts, servers, food runners).
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
  • Create a comfortable, positive, and welcoming working environment.

Requirements:

Experience as a Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager, Bar Lead, Kitchen Lead, Server Lead or similar role Proven customer service experience as a manager.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Quick problem-solving skills.
  • One year commitment to the position.
