This person will drive the timely delivery of new products and features for the entire DMP line of products while working with Product Managers, Engineering, Leadership, and others. They will have strong work plan development and progress oversight skills. They will facilitate sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives to achieve planned launch dates. Regularly tracks sprint progress, maintains schedules, and presents progress updates to the VP of Engineering. Responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams utilizing the principles and tools of the Scrum Framework. Accountable for helping their teams succeed by assisting in groups or one-on-one, removing impediments, and ensuring Scrum events are positive, productive, and kept within the allotted time.
Qualifications:
•B.S. Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent.
•5 years Project Management experience
•Project Management Professional certification (PMP) (Must Have)
•Scrum Master certification (CSM) (preferred)
•Hands-on experience leading software and hardware product development teams
•Proven success working with all levels of management
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong presentation skills
•Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
•Experience managing internal resource capacity using Jira and Confluence
•Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets
•Accept and benefit from constructive criticism
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
•Creating project plans that include setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
•Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
•Work with engineering leadership to coordinate engineering resources and availability across all engineering groups, ensuring projects remain within scope, and schedule, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
•Analyze project progress and, when necessary, manage change to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
•Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
•Protects operation by keeping information confidential
•Observes company policies. Continuously strives to find processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements
•May perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested. Will train or instruct fellow workers in project management processes.
•Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management
