Highway Materials, Inc., Construction Division is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for our construction crew.

Responsibilities :

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Interact with construction general laborers and / or crew members who are facilitating alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete conformation of grade specifications for the construction project
• Interact with members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and / or required
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
• Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
• Participate in routine maintenance
• Use equipment to level roads and ensure proper drainage
• Properly follow all Company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment
• Valid / Clean Driver’s License and no major infractions in past 3 yrs.
