Discovery Tree Therapies, LLC is currently looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in beautiful sunny Fort Walton Beach, FL! Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will be responsible for tasks such as (but not limited to):

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to supporting staff
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients
  • Design and teach treatment protocols while working closely with ABA team and client family members
  • Model The Discovery Tree Therapies, LLC policy and ethic positively and enthusiastically

Applicants must have:

  • BCBA certification
  • Master’s (BCBA) degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis treatment to children with autism
  • Knowledge of ABA treatment techniques and treatment program designs for children of varying skill levels
  • Must obtain and maintain a current BLS and CPR certificate done in a face to face setting
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of valid car insurance, eligibility to work in the United States, and reliable transportation
  • Must have NPI number
  • Must be able to pass National Background Check Level 2
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and creative
  • Must be able to conduct protocols based on VB-MAPP, PEAK, ABLLS, AFLS, or similar programs and collect data
  • Experience working in clinical setting, home setting, and community setting
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance to employee handbook
  • Must adhere to organizational policies and procedures
  • Must abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to home, community, and clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Ensure that the client is always in a safe and positive environment.

Follows the policies and procedures of The Discovery Tree Therapies, LLC
Be energetic and always engaged with clients
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy, intensive teaching, and natural environment training in home, and community-based environments
Collect, record and summarize data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan
Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals
Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers

Conduct/participate in team meetings and training workshops

Participate in indirect work when not with clients
Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, CEU trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by company policies

Working Conditions:

Lifting up to 50lbs. and/participating in continuous or strenuous activities for 4 or more hours indoors or outdoors
Managing time, implementation of specified programs, daily data collection for targeted skills, and communication with lead BCBA (written, verbal and/or in-person).
Sudden movements, sitting/standing for extended periods, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and/or running.

Consistent and reliable attendance.
Commute to/from assigned clients daily or to the office facility.
Use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), office equipment, and related company applications/programs.

BCBA $35 - $45 an hour based on the amount of hours billed per week as well as experience and skill level.
