The Dixon Group is Hiring a Cnc machinist 2nd shift Near Houston, TX

Dixon is looking for a CNC setup Machinist to join its manufacturing team on 2nd shift at their Houston, Texas facility. The CNC Set up Machinist will set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathes to produce precision metal components, inspect products to drawing specifications.

In this position you will learn to recognize machining issues and how to fix them. Must be able to train on first shift and have 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities :

Set up and run CNC machines

Daily maintenance activities

Trouble shoot program issues

Work safely around equipment and co-workers

Work as part of a team and participate in training

Competencies :

Familiar with G & M code

Be able to read blue prints

Be able to use measuring tools

Good reading and math skills

Stand for duration of shift

Lift and maneuver 70 lbs. consistently over the course of a shift

Attention to detail

Work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
