The Dollywood Company is Hiring an In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier - Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Year Round Near Pigeon, TN

We do this every day at Dollywood Resorts, which include over 600 rooms and 15 Food & Beverage outlets, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Our future plans include growing our resort footprint to over 1200 rooms across five resorts at Dollywood.

We are seeking a In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashierfor Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

The right In-Room Dining Dispatcher checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

The In-Room Dining Dispatcher will provide an excellent guest experience through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors. This role will properly take all guests’ In Room Dining orders, communicate them to other servers and work to expedite their service. Other responsibilities include to properly perform all control and revenue related paperwork. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Checks with Manager for daily forecast
  • Packages and presents food/beverage items to standard
  • Inspects location for cleanliness, proper supply levels
  • Orders/requisitions food and supplies through lead/sous chef
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
  • Uses POS accurately. Handles cash, credit card, and room charge transactions as directed
  • Participates in daily line ups
  • Practices service standards and current training throughout service
  • Assists with duties in the restaurant as needed
  • Responsible for answering the phone within three rings
  • Take orders for guests and using last names at least three times during interaction
  • Knowledge on ways to upsell/suggestive sell
  • Inform the guest about specials in restaurant
  • Give the approximate time of delivery for the order
  • Prepare payment of checks
  • Knowledge of food menu and wine list and daily specials
  • Know and adhere to all liability laws
  • Print and distribute hotel reports
  • Charge all amenities and coffee orders according to SOP
  • Complete other duties assigned
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
  • Assist server with set up and breakdown of trays when available
  • Communicate amenity issues to manager/concierge when necessary

Education and Experience Required

  • High School or General Education Degree, Required
  • Must be able to obtain food and alcoholic beverage server certification
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred
  • Must pass a post-employment offer background check and drug screen

  • Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver’s license and insurance
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job
