We are seeking a Laundry Attendant for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

They also bring fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity, and genuine hospitality to their life and work. We seek an individual who can bring the vision of the resorts to life. The right Laundry Attendant checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the cleaning process of hotel linens to ensure guests and hosts experience a clean hotel. All in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial washers, dryers and folding machines.
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications. 
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor. Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen. 
• Operate the folders and other laundry equipment in accordance with the product specifications.
• Clean up machines and surrounding areas as necessary per shift.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 
• Operate laundering equipment to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen, keeping work area clean and safe.
• Help ensure laundry operations run smoothly by alerting the supervisor when equipment stops working properly.
• Understand how to program and operate the ironer.
• Ability to program dryers and washers according to the product load in cycle.
• Sort out all linen that needs to be done.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
• Clean all lint traps in dryers at least 2 times per shift.
• Push and pull linen carts that are full of linen.
• Participate in monthly linen inventory.
• Count and stock linen shelves.
• Must be able to function in a team atmosphere.

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six to 12 months previous commercial laundry experience preferred.
• Must pass a post-offer background check and drug screen.

• Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
• Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time.
• Able to tolerate temperatures of 30 to 110 degrees.
• Able to work outdoors.
• Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Able to operate industrial laundry equipment required.
• Able to stand continuously while moving, able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull repeatedly.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must be willing to work extra hours/shifts to insure customer needs are consistently met.
• Able to project Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work.
• Must be self-motivated and disciplined.
• Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
