ResponsibilitiesThe General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Monday - Friday 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts.
- Assist Engineers and mechanics as directed
- Performs general maintenance and repair of building surfaces
- Repair of mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems
- Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
- Place or remove systems and equipment as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to pass and maintain US Capitol Police background check
- 3 years of building maintenance
- Universal CFC
- OSHA 30
- Experience in carpentry, light electrical, light plumbing, painting, and mechanical buildings systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Driver's License
