Easterseals Iowa is searching for a passionate and detail-oriented Accountant to join our supportive team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the financial health of our organization.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Accounts Payable tasks, including processing invoices and assisting with payments.
- Generate and submit monthly service billing reports.
- Act as a liaison between Easterseals Iowa and third-party billing vendors.
- Oversee monthly credit card statements and ensure proper expense coding.
- Handle Accounts Receivable by entering receipts and managing cash collections.
- Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and submit reports for program grants.
- Assist with budgeting and annual audits.
- Provide support to other accounting and department functions as needed.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
- Strong computer skills and experience with accounting software (non-profit experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

- Prior experience with medical billing and AP/AR a plus!
- Competitive starting salary of $19.75 per hour with a raise after a successful 90-day review.
