Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

We are hiring a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for our client, a global automotive glass manufacturer and supplier. Reporting to the VP Finance in this new key leadership position, the Director will lead a team responsible for strategically analyzing new business opportunities and costs in support of strategic initiatives and new product launches.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support leadership team by performing business analyses and recommending profitability and cash flow improvements.
• Design, build and maintain systematic approach to cost estimating models providing support for Sales quotes.
• Collaborate with management to articulate activities in new model launch programs and overall financial results.
• Work closely with technical, purchasing and manufacturing leaders to formulate estimates and investment requirements for new opportunities.
• Track and report new product launch progress activities during changing business conditions.
• Lead initiatives to enhance business processes and utilization of tools that simplify the work and improve efficiency.
• Support the 5-year strategic planning process including analytical support to validate strategic direction.
• Motivate staff and support professional development.

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
• 10 years in FP&A, business analysis, and/or cost accounting
• 5 years of management experience in a collaborative environment
• 5 years manufacturing, Automotive preferred
• Project Management experience leading cross-functional teams preferred
• Expert building and managing cost models and strategic business analyses
• Proficient in Project Systems within ERP tools preferably SAP
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize key business objectives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact, influence and drive change
