The Edinburg Center is Hiring a Peer Specialist (ICW) Near Bedford, MA

PEER SPECIALIST 
Program: DDS/DMH ASD Community Wrap Around Services 
Compensation:: $40,560 corporate/salaried
Location: This is a mobile position that will require commuting within the North East Region (North of Billerica, MA to NH). Therefore a valid license, and reliable vehicle are required. 
The Edinburg Center is seeking a Peer Specialist to join it's exciting new team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Technicians, Mental Health Clinicians, Therapeutic Support Specialists (TSS), and Employment Specialist. This is an interdisciplinary team with all of the above members, as well as consult from OT, Nursing and Psychiatry. 
What You Will Do:
As a Peer Support Specialist, you will identify with significant life disruption due to a mental health diagnosis, substance use, trauma, extreme states, or other systems involvement (homelessness, foster care system, incarceration), and provide support to those in services in a unique and distinct way. You will be able to identify the supports, resources, and skills that may lead to increased wellness and you will support others to identify those areas for themselves.
What You Will Bring: 
  • Must be eligible to complete a certification that is recognized by the state of Massachusetts, including the Certified Peer Specialist (CPS). Pathway to Certification will be completed upon hire and Peer Support Specialist I will be actively mentored to complete certification as required by relevant contract within 6 months of hire. 
  • You will have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. This is required, as it's a mobile position in the North East Region (North of Billerica to NH).
  • The ability to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification within three months of hire are required (full-cost and resources will be provided).
