Ekeo Group is searching for Software Architect for a contractual opportunity.

Job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect for a 6–12-month contractual role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and architecture, with a specific focus on microservices, cloud services, big data, and Snowflake. Experience with the entire Couchbase stack is highly desirable. This role involves designing and implementing scalable software solutions, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and secure software architectures using microservices.
• Utilize cloud services effectively to build, deploy, and manage applications.
• Develop and maintain data architectures, ensuring efficient handling of big data.
• Leverage Snowflake for data warehousing and advanced analytics solutions.
• Ideally, work with the full Couchbase stack to integrate and optimize database solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into the architecture where appropriate.
• Oversee the administrative aspects of the software architecture, including documentation, performance monitoring, and optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Proven experience as a Software Architect or in a similar role.

Strong proficiency in microservices architecture and its implementation.

Extensive experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake.

Significant experience in handling big data technologies and solutions.

Ideally, hands-on experience with the entire Couchbase stack.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and projects.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other database technologies and data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
