The Elevance Health Companies, Inc. is Hiring an Office Manager Near Washington, DC

Position Title: Office Manager Job Description: Qualified applicants will live in the Washington DC community Responsible for managing the administrative support functions for the Professional Services area. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintain current and organized files of various documents and retrieve necessary files upon request. Provide telephone support in order to assist or refer caller to the appropriate individual. Screen and distribute mail and other documents and prepare materials for mailing to ensure a consistent workflow. Responsible for the duplication and distribution of materials to the appropriate individuals. Schedules meeting and the preparation of materials. Document transmission by fax, messenger, or other means. Delegates divisional assignments and projects, and reconciles concerns or work priorities of divisional projects. Create and maintain presentation overheads, graphic disks, and handouts of divisional Professional Services and administrative presentations. Designs, implements and maintains the divisional new employee orientation manual. Oversee supply ordering, inventory and maintenance system. Oversee the organization and maintenance of the divisional resource center. Handles strategic, confidential corporate and divisional data. Provide assistance within the department and perform special projects and assignments specific to the department within time frames established. Evaluates projects for cost, resources, and supplies. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years administrative services supervisory or leadership experience including leading/directing work of others; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Knowledge of administrative services operations and understanding of business operations. Administrative services certification preferred.
