Behavioral Health SpecialistThe Behavioral Health Specialist supports the PHP milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, self-monitoring and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance.
Compensation RangeBehavioral Health Specialist: $19.26 - $28.89
Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.Schedule: This is a Full Time position working 32 hrs per week supporting the virtual Adolescent PHP Program that operates Monday through Thursday 1:00pm to 7:00pm and Fridays from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
How Behavioral Health Specialists Empower Recovery
  • Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement
  • Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
  • Provides milieu support
  • Participates in client therapeutic outings
  • Ability to engage, coach, monitor, and support clients as needed
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mental health-related field.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.

  • Generous PTO plans: Paid Time off (PTO) is provided to all regular full time and part time regular employees up to 152 hours/19 days within the first year of employment. PTO is accrued throughout the year and can be used for vacation, personal and sick time and accrues based on compensated hours.
  • Holidays: Employees not working at a residential or inpatient facility are eligible for 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday
  • Non-exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility will receive premium pay at a rate of double time if they are scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
  • Employees hired on or after February 20, 2022, will receive premium pay at a rate of time and-a-half if scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
  • Exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility who are scheduled to work on a holiday may take the holiday on a different day during the same pay period. Additionally, non-exempt employees are eligible or various shift and weekend differentials.
