The HR Consultant facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. The HR Consultant also provides internal and external support and partnership to clients to ensure high-quality HR services are being delivered. The HR Consultant provides excellent service by being responsive to the needs of external and internal partners, including clients, co-employed staff, and internal staff and managers, and by providing proper guidance and information related to employment. The HR Consultant will contribute to our success by showing a strong dedication to our mission, vision, values, clients, and internal team members.
Responsibilities

2. Effectively complete a variety of human resources activities.
3. Other Duties as assigned and available.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Associate’s degree in related field or commensurate experience
- Minimum of four years of HR experience, including experience providing HR consultation and generalist services to a diverse internal or external customer base
- Experience collaborating with management to ensure HR best practices are understood and implemented accordingly.
- Hold a Human Resources related professional certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local human resource-related laws, regulations, and rules
- Proven success in managing HR related projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills include writing, speaking and the ability to adapt communication style to fit the situation and audience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently. balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data, draw appropriate conclusions and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
- Ability to be customer-focused and quality-driven with strong customer service skills and focus.
- Ability to exhibit integrity in work product and in interactions with clients and other staff.
- Ability to hold oneself accountable for actions, successes, and failures.
- Ability to operate in an open, honest, and forthright manner to build and maintain relationships with a diverse population.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team.

- Ability to travel within Wisconsin and other states as necessary; must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and proof of personal auto liability insurance meeting Wisconsin’s minimum requirement.
Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary work, exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally or a negligible amount.
Physical Activity: Primary working position-sitting, with occasional standing, walking; frequent reaching, typing; talking - speaking clearly; hearing – conversation; and seeing - near.
Work/Environmental: Moderate noise level consistent with an office environment. Travel within Wisconsin and other states as required for business meetings, education events, etc.
Personal/Physiological: Interaction with people, working around people, delegating work, and holding oneself and others accountable for meeting deadlines and finishing work, planning of activities, making judgments on a regular basis, frequent changes in duties and volume of work, intra-organizational and client communication.
