Job Title: Business Development Manager - Aerospace Chemical Solvents

Location: DFW

About the Company: A leading provider of high-performance chemical solutions, serving various industries with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are expanding our product offerings to include aerospace chemical solvents and are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to spearhead this new division.

Position Overview: The Business Development Manager of Aerospace Chemical Solvents will be responsible for building and leading the aerospace product line and division from the ground up. This role will involve market research, strategy development, product launch, and establishing key customer relationships within the aerospace sector. As the division grows, the successful candidate will transition into a Sales Leader role, overseeing a team of sales professionals and driving the division’s long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Division Development:
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the aerospace chemical solvents sector.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the aerospace division, including product development, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of aerospace clients, establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aerospace industry.
  • Lead negotiations and close sales deals with aerospace manufacturers, suppliers, and maintenance organizations.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Provide technical support and product training to customers, ensuring a deep understanding of the product line.
  • Leadership and Team Building:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals as the division grows.
  • Transition into a Sales Leader role, overseeing the performance and development of the sales team.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure the team meets or exceeds goals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales division.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market analysis, and division growth for senior management.
  • Utilize CRM and other sales tools to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and analyze data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a focus on aerospace chemical solvents or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a successful sales division.
  • Strong understanding of the aerospace industry, including key players, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
