We are seeking a hands-on oriented science teacher for grades 7 and 8. You will be supported through coaching, team collaboration and ample classroom supplies. Bring your creativity, growth mindset and desire to help adolescents engage with their learning in an authentic way and join a top-rated team of excellent educators. Target Start Date: July 11, 2024
A highly qualified candidate will:
- Have a Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Education
- Hold NC certification relevant to teaching middle school science
- Be a learner, flexible and willing to grow
- Be proficient with ways to assist special needs students, including students on the spectrum
- Be proficient in hands-on ways to learn, including organizing regular hands-on science labs
- Be able to teach students how to keep a science notebook
- Be able and willing to collaborate with other staff
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
- Be willing to have an “open-door” classroom
Salary: NC State Salary Scale 15% School Supplement
Start Date: July 11, 2024
