The Family Support Center is Hiring an Assistant Director, Residential Services Near Elmwood, NJ

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of MR residences, in accordance with agency policies and procedures; adhere to DDD regulations and guidelines.
  • Hire, train, and supervise the Residence Managers. Ensure Managers monitor all residential staff in fulfilling their respective responsibilities within the residence.
  • Assist and participate in intake screening procedures and ensure all admission policies are followed.
  • Assist in recruitment, orientation, and evaluation of all residential staff. Assist Manager with staffing issues (i.e., staff development and conduct).
  • Ensure and monitor the development and implementation of individual habilitation plans aimed at increasing each individual's capacity to function more independently.
  • Facilitate communication with day programs to ensure that consumers receive comprehensive care.
  • Direct residence programs and overall operations of the residences in the absence of the Director of Residential Services.
  • Ensure incident reports are completed and forwarded to all required parties in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring that there is an adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Monitors menu plans and food purchases.
  • Assures medical attention is arranged for ill or injured consumers.
  • Ensuring that needed supplies are purchased in accordance with approved budgets and that accurate records are maintained.
  • Preparing time sheets for payroll.
  • Preparing reports as required by the agency.
  • Conducting regular staff meetings.
  • The Assistant Director will cooperate with Center for Family Support management and/or DDD staff in any inspection or investigation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in dealing with confidential issue; ability to work independently and execute sound reasoning and judgment.
  • Excellent oral, and written communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, Master's degree Three to five years' experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities with substantial experience in management

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities with, at least, three years' experience in program supervision.

Salary Range

$62K
