What You’ll Do

As a Case Management Supervisor (aka Supervising Navigator), you’ll lead a team of Case Managers (aka Navigators) as part of a groundbreaking program, The District of Columbia Career Mobility Action Plan (Career MAP). Career MAP provides resources directly to families who have experienced homelessness; are committed to pursuing a career; and are at risk of losing cash, food, health care, childcare, and housing benefits more quickly than their income can cover these lost resources (also known as 'benefits cliffs'). You and your team will coordinate services beyond traditional case management through a more robust coaching model that includes specific performance benchmarks. Career MAP takes a holistic, two-generational approach to supporting families that includes the foundational components of family well-being: career pathways, child development, financial assets, health and wellbeing, and social capital. Most importantly, Career MAP recognizes families as drivers of their own success, and the program tailors service connections to meet the needs of individual participants.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading a team of approximately 6 to 10 Navigators and support staff providing case coaching (a model that expands beyond traditional case management) and taking personal responsibility for select cases as needed.
• Ensuring that Navigators provide appropriate services to referred participants, engage participants in Provider activities, and re-engage those participants who start to participate and subsequently disengage.
• Supporting your team by providing regular supervision meetings, coaching, and training sessions as well as developing continuous process improvement and/or corrective action plans to ensure that each team member meets the program’s contractual goals.
• Establishing and maintaining a high-energy, highly accountable team approach to completing work in a timely manner and in an atmosphere that is stimulating and allows for continued staff growth and development.
• Collaborating with the team to develop and execute solutions to employer-specific training needs, funder requests, feedback from internal reviews, etc.
• Coordinating a robust schedule of rotating community presenters (schools, employers, other resources), peer groups, and other two-generational workshops.
• Working with the Program Manager and other program leaders to develop solutions to anything impeding the growth and continuous improvement of the program.
• Representing Fedcap and the Career MAP program to program funders, community partners, and senior Fedcap leadership.
• Diligently verifying and reporting all aspects of participant milestone achievements to DHS through structured reports as well as a collection of success stories.
• Auditing service plans, case notes, workshop facilitation, and other staff work to ensure services and documentation of services are supporting participants to overcome barriers to program engagement and participation and that goals are being achieved.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services, counseling, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience supervising in a vocational rehabilitation, case management, or related field and/or work experience determined to be acceptable to the agency.
• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation

• $55,000-$65,000
