The Fedcap Group is Hiring a Community Resource Specialist II Near Washington, DC

JOB SUMMARY

The Community Resource Specialist II will be responsible for maintaining relationships with a sufficient amount of community partners across housing partners as well as essential program workflow components such as rent reasonable, permanent supportive housing qualification and other necessary areas that participants (Family Re-Housing Stabilization Program (FRSP) participants referred to Fedcap by the District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services) will benefit from to achieve their housing goals. Role is also responsible for robust data collection and reporting which is essential for a funder pilot program studying effectiveness of new designed solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Build relationships and coordinate housing tours schedule with landlords and other housing partners.
  • Maintain on-going documentation and professional records.
  • Follow up on application status and provide additional support to participants as needed. 
  • Review housing relocation requests for appropriateness, including assistance in identifying units (including checking against DHS policy and rent reasonableness).
  • Working with housing partners on inspection schedules and other needs.
  • Documenting interactions and collect lease up documentation to submit as well as archive in electronic case management systems.
  • Observe housing processes and create trainings for Fedcap staff and/or customers when needed.
  • Monitor compliance with housing policies and regulations, providing guidance and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits of housing data to ensure integrity and consistency across all records.
  • Provide advanced data analysis to support strategic planning and resource allocation for housing programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine housing program strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Partner with DHS provided points of contact for additional Housing and Financial coaching resources for participants.
  • Collect all data necessary for funder monthly data report, translating data onto funder required form for timely submission.
  • Review data trends while report is being compiled and analysis for programs improvement; providing recommendations or highlight areas to Fedcap leadership.
  • Develop and implement data management protocols to ensure accuracy and completeness of all program related data.
  • Develop and lead training sessions on data collection and reporting procedures for new staff members and refresher training to existing staff as necessary.
  • Monitor trends in data and develop and lead trainings sessions in areas that would improve qualify of data collection, program services and offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine all program strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Observe all policies and procedures and attend all required training and certifications as scheduled.
  • Diligently verify and report all aspects of participants milestone achievements to DHS through structured reports as well as collection of success stories Document activities, participation, compliance, and employment progress in the (ECM) systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Job Experience

  • Associate’s degree in sociology, communications, business or another related field of study preferred.
  • One year of case management, training, outreach, engagement or relevant work experience.
  • Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.

Work Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. but will be determined by your supervisor. On a rotating basis, one evening and/or one weekend day is required. Role primary is based in office, with some community, local, remote work being required, as well as some work from home hours may be coordinated based on job duties.

Travel

This position will mainly operate out of our DC office but there could be a potential need to provide services at other locations throughout DC on some occasions.
