POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Operations supervisor position is responsible for supervising employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
· Monitor Departmental efficiency – an operations supervisor monitors the efficiency of the company’s departments and conducts performance reviews for each employee in that department. They devise and apply methods to improve this efficiency, such as data analysis procedures and customer service training.
· Track key performance indicators (KPIs) - Operations supervisors establish and track KPIs across the company’s departments, including in those of IT, accounting, and customer care. They also evaluate operations reports from each department and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.
· Prepare and submit operational reports – Operations supervisors create reports highlighting the status and performance of the company’s operations and present these to the company’s executives. They include proposals for improving operational and departmental performance.
· Supervise routing operations – An operations supervisor manages day-to-day departmental operating processes. They delegate tasks aiming to boost performance to facilitate company growth.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE:
? At least five (5) years or more experience leading / supervising a team in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
? Minimum of a high school education; bachelors preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
? Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Experience of operating within ERP systems essential.
? Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
? Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes
? Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with team members at all levels.
? Able to use sound judgment, work independently, with minimal supervision
? Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes
? Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
? Must be detail orientated and organized.
? Basic math skills.
? Excellent communication skills
? Must be proficient in English Oral and Written skills. Working Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required.
