ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining the Human Resources team at CoStar Group, you will contribute to the creation of a highly successful, fast paced, growth oriented, global organization. As Principal HR Data Analyst, this hands-on role will drive HR data discovery and collection, data security, data cataloging, data transformation, data analysis, data visualization, and reporting in support of the organizations overall HR Data & Reporting objectives.

This role will report to the Vice President of HR Services, Technology and Reporting.

This role offers 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business leaders and other stakeholders to share relevant HR data for their organizations to improve their teams productivity.

  • Prepare comprehensive workforce productivity reports and visualizations to assist business leaders in understanding the patterns and identifying potential areas of focus.

  • Perform analysis of complex and voluminous workforce data from different variety of sources.

  • Analyze and mine data from a variety of sources to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points.

  • Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Perform queries and interpret business data requests to create efficient queries.

  • Enhance HR data reporting and analytics capabilities by leveraging appropriate tools and technologies.

  • Improve the quality of data and usability by driving an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.

  • Work collaboratively with appropriate Technology teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate more than just numbers. Translate complex analytics and findings into digestible stories that identify key business implications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in data science, computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.

  • 8 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting

  • Experience in managing sensitive and confidential data.

  • Hands-on experience in pattern and trend identification in large data sets.

  • Experience in collecting and using data to inform business decision-making and persuade others. Works effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches to meet business needs.

  • Experience in data integration and data governance practices, and familiarity with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.

  • Exceptional focus on continuous improvement and value creation.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while also working collaboratively with others in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple, detailed tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality work product under time constraints.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data analysis to business stakeholders.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills to lead projects from start to finish while meeting milestones and project timelines.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

  • Experience in working with employee productivity data.

  • Hands-on experience in Workday & Teramind.

  • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills.

This position offers a base salary range of $97,800 - $169,400, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
