Mental Health Clinician

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

• Bilingual Spanish speaking, reading, writing is REQUIRED

• Sunday to Thursday, Monday to Friday, OR Tuesday to Saturday, and 1 day remote
• Hours Offered: 10am – 6pm, 11am – 7pm, or 12pm – 8pm

Salary Range: $72,000 - $84,000 depending on licensure.

Job Description:
Exciting opportunity to support the efforts of a clinical team for unaccompanied migrant children (UC) at a health center, while they are living in transitional foster homes by providing short-term, trauma-informed treatment planning and delivery while children are connected with potential sponsors identified in the United States.

These unescorted minors are provided medical care, case management, life skills classes, and essential mental health services. Under the direction of the Assistant Director and Director of Clinical Services, the Clinician will work alongside the UC and interdisciplinary team to ensure the minor/child is safe and cared for, and is supported in a clinical setting while being reunited with a suitable parent, guardian, or sponsor in the most expeditious manner possible.

Job Functions:

• Provide individual therapy and group counseling to youth
• Administer required behavioral and mental health assessments for youth
• Carry a caseload up to twelve youth, ages range from 0-17 years
• Coordinate services for each youth in conjunction with case manager
• Provide therapy during traditional and non-traditional hours including weekends and evenings
• Attend weekly clinical team meetings, staff meetings
• Keeping accurate documentation and record for all clinical activities (case documentation)

Experience and Skills:

• One year of postgraduate direct service delivery experience preferred
• Experience with a strengths-based, cognitive behavioral, and trauma sensitive approach with children and adolescents
• All agency documents and records are in English and/or French-Creole, proficiency required
