Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – NYS PMHNP license REQUIRED*

Location: Manhattan OR Brooklyn

Schedule: Flexible ~30 hours across 3-4 days

· Options include

o 4 x 7.5 ( 1 hour unpaid lunch, totaling a 8.5 hour day)

o 3 x 10 ( unpaid lunch)

Hiring Status: Temp-to-perm hire, benefits eligible after 90 days/perm status obtained

· Pay: $100/hour first 90 days

· Salary up to $150,000 for full-time (40hrs/wk.)

Job Summary:

The role of the Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will be to conduct psychiatric assessments to help clients obtain housing. The PMHNP is expected to work thoughtfully and collaboratively with clinical and program staff (social workers, case managers, nurses, etc.) to help connect clients to needed treatment in the community and to temporarily provide treatment in-house to clients who are more ambivalent about long-term treatment.

• Transitional Housing & Shelter: operates 19 transitional housing programs, each with a specific focus, to provide shelter and resources for individuals experiencing homelessness to transition into permanent housing.
• Substance Abuse Treatment: offers rehabilitation, counseling, and harm reduction services to help clients recover from drug or alcohol addiction, with two addiction treatment programs serving over 500 individuals annually.
