Primary purpose: Maintain and grow the existing customer base through prospecting, sales development, quoting, and

customer follow-up, while providing unbeatable customer service with a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell products to customers in our target area by educating them to the products and services that Franklin Building Supply provides.
  • Provide accurate and detailed price quotes and building material estimates for current and potential customers off of their blueprints.
  • Visit job sights to monitor work progress, and to identify additional needs of customers, and to target new customers.
  • Regularly evaluate accounts to identify opportunities to cross sell, and upsell products and services.
  • Educate customers, assisting them with their purchasing needs, helping them to value engineer jobs when necessary.
  • Work with the Account Coordinator to acquire special orders to satisfy your customer needs
  • Accurately process customer requests, as orders, special orders, or invoices and insure that they are completed to the customer's satisfaction
  • Timely follow-up and a highly developed sense of urgency
  • Greet customers and sub-contractors in a friendly manner

  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfill obligations
  • Action oriented, ambitious, consistently do your best and stay focused on the job at hand
  • Give great attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills
  • Possess a driver’s license with a clean driving record
