The Friedkin Group is Hiring a Manger, Family Support Near Houston, TX

External Description:

SUMMARY The Manager, Family Support will be responsible for special projects and the movement of household valuables, merchandise, and products. The Manager will ensure that any problems are dealt with efficiently and that the process is tailored to meet expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day movement of household valuables, merchandise, and products including setting schedules, coordinating logistics, dispatching/delegating work, and prioritizing routes
  • Monitor the quality of the team's work according to standards set by the business
  • Oversee maintenance needs of the trucks and address accordingly
  • In charge of communication with family members to guarantee a smooth transition on all moves and ensuring there is as little disruption throughout the move process as possible
  • Calculate costs throughout the move process and work within budget limitations
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises one or more associates. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS Requires a high school diploma with 8-10 years of equivalent experience or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have strong management skills as the role is centered on the efficient coordination of team members
  • Requires creativity so as to maximize the utilization of space constraints in trucks used for transporting items.
  • Trips will range from short one hour tasks to multiple day events
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise independent judgment
  • Must have excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Safely transport items/property to desired locations by designated deadlines
  • Able to carefully and efficiently wrap and pack items to prevent damage while moving.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required to walk/stand for an extended period of time. The associate is frequently required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business purposes. A large amount of this travel involves driving a company vehicle. Associate will go for long periods of continual body activity and associate must frequently move/lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds or more.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job requires significant domestic travel (up to 80% of the time). As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environments, homes, semi-industrial settings and outdoor events. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
