Customer Service Representative

The Frisbee Agency Inc is seeking a full-time customer service representative to join our growing insurance agency in Catskill, NY. We are a well-established agency serving the entire Hudson Valley Region and Northern Catskills. This is a career position with growth potential and security. The Frisbee Agency is a captive agency to the American National/Farm Family Insurance Companies which provides a broad range of property & casualty insurance for farms, small contractors, and individuals. This includes workers compensation, homeowner’s, commercial and personal auto insurances as well as, life, disability, and annuity services. We do more than just provide insurance policies; we assist our customers with understanding the insurance process and how it impacts both their business and personal objectives.

Objectives of this Role

• Correspond with clients and alleviate any concerns they may have with their insurance policies.
• Be the front-facing persona for new and existing clients.
• Contribute to the growth and success of The Frisbee Agency.
• Work independently, and as a team member of this highly active agency.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner and forward calls to the appropriate staff member.
• Generate Insurance Identification Cards, Binders, and Certificates of Insurance.
• Obtain relevant information from customers to quote new business.
• Answer billing and account questions.
• Review reports and emails from the home office and submit required documents.
• Assist Agents and sub-producers in marketing and obtaining leads to grow and maintain business through product sales, cross-sales, referrals, and your own circle of influence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years’ experience in customer service or professional sales.
• Ability to learn and assimilate new and evolving computer programs.
• Knowledge of insurance coverages (ex: automobile, life, health, property) preferred but not required.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• NYS insurance agent/broker license or willingness to obtain one.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.5 per week
