S UMMARY// The Landscape r and Gym Staff position at The Front Climbing Club expertly cultivates beautiful outdoor spaces at our two SLC locations while also nurturing our community through daily gym operations, including desk duties, customer service, retail sales, and facility cleaning. This role actively participates in creative outdoor design projects, fostering a sense of connection among members and ensuring adherence to The Front's standards through floor monitoring duties. GYM STAFF DUTIES// Extends a warm welcome to guests and members, ensuring a seamless check-in experience while enforcing waiver and entrance policies that set the stage for adventure Embarks on facility tours that showca ses amenities, offerings, and the many benefits awaiting members Champions the quest for new members, ensuring memberships remain vibrant, seamlessly handling paperwork, updating customer details, and orchestrating membership procedures with finesse Fields calls with enthusiasm, capturing messages, and answering facility questions with personality and kindness Informs members of current promotions , events, and facility news , ensuring members are well informed of all happenings in the space Cultivates genuine connections with customers in the retail space , providing thoughtful guidance through our range of merchandise Assists the Event's team during a spectrum of events, from pulse-pounding competitions to melodious music series and vibrant vendor markets Dives into daily cleaning rituals with gusto, weaving passion through laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and ensuring facilities reflect our passion for our members and their experience within our spaces Embarks on scheduled walk-throughs armed with an iPad, eagle-eyed for areas of potential enhancement Imparts climbing wisdom when the need arises, empowering members with the skills and knowledge to grow Fosters open communication channels, ensuring management is clued in on facility, customer, or risk-related matters Embraces the challenge of additional duties with a spirit of adventure, ever ready to embark on new quests and conquer new horizons FLOOR MONITOR DUTIES// Monitor climbing area s looking for appropriate certification tags on all climbers/belayers and compliance with posted facility rules Looks for proper TR belay/ lead belay/ lead climbing techniques. Addresses areas of concern in a friendly, non-confrontational manner Addresses any unsafe behavior observed ; loose kids running in unsafe fall zones, guests sitting on mats, gear/personal items on mats and not in cubby space, running, or other behavior inappropriate for the climbing gym Performs TR and lead climb/belay tests and Auto belay orientations, in accordance with set guidelines as needed by the Front Desk Act as staff touch point for member and guests in the facility Communicate escalated customer issues with management team s LANDSCAPING DUTIES// Care for facility grounds through gardening and landscaping maintenance Executes grounds keeping under the direction of the head Groundskeeper/Landscaper at The Front Mows and edges grass, blows debris Landscapes by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes, and trees Applies pesticides, fertilizers, and insecticides as appropriate Prunes, weeds, and maintains grounds as needed Installs rocks, cement, lighting, and watering features Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes Installs and maintains irrigation systems REQUIREMENTS// Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented Strong verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Customer service and/or sales experience preferred Ability to works nights and weekends , with shifts ranging from early mornings to late nights Climbing gym experience a bonus as well as Rock Gym Pro experience Passion for climbing and ability to learn , use , & care for climbing merchandise A superior level of member service and conflict resolution skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities Self-motiva ted , and an in terest in staying busy and filling idle time First Aid/CPR Certified required upon hire Utah Alcohol Certification required upon hire Be able to collaborate and innovate as a means to create exceptional value for our members, our company, and ourselves JOB HAZARDS // This position is exposed to airborne chalk, dust, and cleaning supplies

• And may be exposed to objects falling from great heights when safety monitoring or belay testing
• Other hazards fall ing while providing instruction or demonstration and trips and falls caused by obstacles on the ground such as ropes and climbing gear
• Other hazards are falling from slippery surfaces after they have been cleaned, being exposed to hot liquids and steam, loud noises. Potential of cuts and scrapes from kitchen utensil use.
