The Goddard School #565 is Hiring a Preschool Floating Teacher Near Manchester, MO

We are looking for fun loving teachers who are passionate about education! Each teacher is a valued member of our staff and their creativity is welcomed throughout the classrooms.

The Goddard School is an education and curriculum based facility where the focus is on academic growth as well as social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for creating appropriate and engaging lesson plans as well as assess progress and development of the children in the classroom. Lead Teachers must be able to effectively communicate with parents and families and work together with an Assistant Teacher in conjunction with the entire faculty.

Responsibilities
- Writing and carrying out lesson plans that teach to a set of developmental goals
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting learning through play
- Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback to parent
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending staff meetings and professional development days

Requirements
- Proven experience in early childhood education
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized and committed
- Creative and energetic
- Strong moral values and discipline
- Knowledge of CPR (training can be provided)
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field (Lead Teacher)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
