The Goddard School of Maplewood is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and passionate Mandarin Enrichment Teacher (Part-Time and Full-Time, available) who will establish and maintain a safe, healthy, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. The Goddard Schools of Millburn and Maplewood are Reggio-Emilia influenced, and have a trilingual (English, Spanish, Mandarin) global curriculum. Children learn three languages from birth through Pre-Kindergarten. We are able to sponsor OPT and H1-B visas.

As a teacher, you will:

• Lead and collaborate with your team to develop creative hands-on activities and projects based on your observations of children’s interests and skills.
• implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned subject areas
• Provide learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking
• Create and provide a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students learn cooperatively, and interact positively with one another
• Model respectful interactions with students of diverse backgrounds while responding to their individualized needs

Requirements:

• Native Mandarin speaker
• Two or More years minimum of teaching experience
• Degree in education preferred
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
