We aim to be the best licensed educational childcare option in our area for both children and teachers. We love children, we work hard, and we have fun. That's our culture.
We're looking for two floating assistant teachers We want someone who loves children. For this particularly position, being new to the field is great. Floating assistants help cover lunches, breaks, and days off for other teachers. That means you may work with infants, with preschoolers, with toddlers, or with all three in the same day. Generally we'll find you enjoy certain parts of the age spectrum (0-5) more, and we'll pair you more often with that. We also look to promote floating assistants to permanent classroom teachers if they do well and want to be in a particular classroom.
See below for the detailed version. If you're interested, please complete the assessment that is sent to you from really after you apply. We generally prioritize applications with a completed assessment.
OVERVIEW OF THE SCHOOL
The Goddard School Salmon Creek is a birth through Pre-K child development and child care center. We serve up to 170 students with a staff of 35. The Goddard School is not a traditional "daycare". Instead of reactively responding to the needs of the children, our teachers are proactively engaging them, stimulating their learning, and guiding them toward their next phase of development. We take our name of "school" seriously in that we're intentional with our children, and our teachers are lesson planning as early as our infant class.

We're looking for a teacher who can help in a variety of classrooms ages 0-5.

OTHER THINGS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We will be looking for a warm personality quick to interact with children. We will be looking for someone who actively engages with children instead of someone who more passively supervises children. We will be looking for energetic people. We will be looking for a person who is patient. Some organizational skills are also important. Reliability is important.
