Role Summary: The Lead Infant Teacher at The Goddard School - Milton will have the exciting opportunity to lead a group of young learners and create a positive and engaging learning environment. This individual will be responsible for providing nurturing, safe and high-quality care to infants, while also collaborating with parents and other team members to ensure children's developmental needs are met. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Milton, Massachusetts with a competitive salary of $21 to $25 per hour. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a dynamic and developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants
Advance physical and intellectual competencies by adapting program activities to meet needs of the children
Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for infants to learn and grow
Communicate appropriately and professionally with both parents and fellow staff members
Capture and communicate child's daily activities and progress
Collaborate with other team members to plan and participate in school events and activities
Follow all health and safety guidelines set by the school and state regulations
Continuously engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements:
A 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (will consider current enrollment in pursuit of a degree)
Previous experience working with infants in a childcare or educational setting
EEC Certification preferred (will work to get you certified)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Availability to work between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm

General Qualifications: Meet state qualifications and those set forth in the national hiring standards including-
Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
