Duties/Responsibilities:

· Perform all aspects of criminal defense representation; including a jury trials;

· Review case files outside of court;

· Appear in court for arraignments, pretrial conferences, and hearings.

· Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members;

· Issue spot and develop strategies leading to efficient resolutions of cases;

· Negotiate and settle cases or prepare matters for jury trial;

· Perform legal research and apply legal principles to legal problems;

· Draft pleadings and present those statements of law, facts, and arguments clearly, logically, and effectively both written and orally; and

· Effectively manage a substantial caseload.
