The Green K9 is an independent, healthy pet specialty retailer with: Grooming, Self dog wash, and small dog Day care services. Our retail store is focused on providing the highest quality pet food and unique pet supplies.
Urbana is growing fast, which means we are growing too. We are seeking two more energetic and outgoing staff members to assist our pet parent customers! As the Front Desk Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring that our shop is a welcoming place with a fun, boutique vibe.
Our ideal candidate is:
- A true dog lover who is comfortable working with all dogs
- Confident, outgoing and personable
- Able to engage customers in conversation
- Detail oriented
- Excellent computer skills, and a fast learner with our systems
- Ability to sell products
- Good communication skills with customers and co-workers
- Motivated to do whatever is needed to run our daily operations
- Greet owners as they arrive
- Check in pets for their appointments
- Answer phones
- Process payments
- Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
- Other administrative duties, as assigned
- Respond to emails
- Re-stock retail inventory
- Assist customers with pet product sales
- Clean self wash rooms and assist in daycare when needed
- Minimal end of day cleaning duties
- Purchase pet products at our wholesale cost
- Bring your own dog to day care if under 40 lbs
