The Green K9 is looking for a talented and gentle Pet Groomer, who has a passion for dogs, and can provide an outstanding dog grooming experience for pet parents. You would be joining a team of 4 outstanding Groomers with 7 to 20 years of experience.
We are an independent, healthy pet specialty store with multiple services, such as: grooming, self dog wash and small dog day care. We specialize in minimally processed pet foods and treats, and unique pet supplies. The owner is a Groomer and has 24 years experience in designing, building and operating award winning pet care facilities.
When it comes to grooming, we believe in quality not quantity. We are not a franchise or national chain with corporate management and high quotas. We want you to take your time, so you and your dogs have a stress free experience. Your skills will shine through to impress our pet parents and exceed their expectations.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS: A reliable, flexible, enthusiastic person, with a positive attitude, excellent grooming and customer service skills.

• Ability to handle all breeds and temperaments, and have a strong knowledge of breed specific standards.
• Proficient with clippers and scissors.
• Detail oriented, and a good communicator with customers, especially when receiving grooming instructions.
• Handle dogs with care, compassion and professionalism.

• Large electric grooming tables with heavy duty overhead bar. You would have the ability to utilize hammocks for difficult dogs.

• Walk in shower for extra large and special needs dogs.

• If a customer cannot pick up right away, we have comfortable holding areas. We offer a free 1/2 day of day care for dogs 40 lbs. and under to be in day care before and/or after their groom.

• Unlike most grooming shops, we have a secure, mud-free outdoor area. Our staff will assure all dogs are taken outside for potty breaks, so they stay clean and comfortable.

• We provide quality, shampoos with no harsh chemicals, and basic supplies including bandanas. You will need your own grooming tools.

• Support staff is available to assist with drying dogs and difficult nail trims.

• No cleaning is required. The support staff thoroughly cleans grooming areas every evening.

• Bring your dog to work with you! Utilize our day care play group at no charge if your dog is 40 lbs. and under.
