The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Salary and Benefits for Youth Attendant:

• Base hourly rate of $20.52 to $22.93 based on relevant experience.
• Monday - Friday schedule between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm, no weekends or on call responsibilities

Primary Duties for Youth Attendant:

• Provide attendant care services which assist with promoting successful completion of daily activities
• Encourage and support clients' engagement in pro-social activities
• Encourage and support clients' efforts to effectively problem-solve and interact successfully with others
• Work respectfully and supportively with clients' parents/caregivers, while observing appropriate boundaries

Minimum Qualifications for Youth Attendant :
EDUCATION:

• One year of college course work in the field of human services, or one year experience in the field of human services, or combination of education and work experience in the field of human services which equals one year.

EXPERIENCE:
Required:

• Six months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.

Preferred:

• experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
