Position: Prep Cook
Reports to: Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef
Kneads Bakeshop is an artisan bakery, café & market in a state-of-the-art flagship facility in Harbor East Baltimore. Kneads is a passion project by H&S Family of Bakeries to bring premium artisan baked goods, pastries, and food to our communities. Our wholesale distribution serves the DC/Maryland/Virginia region.
The H&S Family of Bakeries includes H&S Bakery, Northeast Foods, and Schmidt Baking Company to make up America’s largest family-owned variety bakery, proudly providing specialty baked goods to major industry retailers and small businesses throughout the United States. From humble beginnings, one small bakery in Baltimore has grown to become a staple in our community. We want to combine H&S’s history with the new age of artisan craft, creating a one-of-a-kind brand and experience, giving a modern face to H&S Bakery. We want people to see it, touch it, and taste it, to have a full sensory experience.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a great prep cook that enjoys a fast-paced, high volume, high quality, creative and fun environment. Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in accordance with departmental quality standards and recipes. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. It recognizes that other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and that not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs.
