We have an immediate need for a seasoned construction Senior Project Estimator for our office in Fort Wayne, IN. Ideal candidates for the Senior Project Estimator will have 10 years' experience in the estimating and preconstruction of large-scale commercial projects.
In this role, you will be accountable for the management of individually assigned construction estimating projects in such a way as to ensure a complete scope of work is documented and analyzed in a timely fashion. for analysis of economics. Works to specific measurable objectives requiring operation planning skill.
As a Senior Project Estimator, you are responsible for organizing bid solicitations from subcontractors and suppliers, quantitative analysis of project specific elements, reviewing project schedule, costing, risk analysis and understanding project specifications including contract language. As a senior technical professional, you’ll work under minimal direct supervision and have considerable latitude for making decisions within your discipline.
Within our team you will work closely with other estimators. You will be expected to mentor and train other estimators with less experience. You will also interact with Project Management, Field Operations, Safety, and Business Development to ensure that a complete, yet competitive estimate is produced. Externally, you will work closely with architects, engineers, owners, public entities, trade subcontractors, material suppliers, bonding and insurance agents and others who may be associated with an assigned project.
